About Valley Charter School

Valley Charter School (VCS) is a tuition-free and non-sectarian public K-5 elementary school that will
serve a diverse student body in the urban core of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.
Initiated by a group of passionate parents and educators dedicated to the renewal of the public school
system, and inspired by the successful model of Larchmont Charter School, Valley Charter School will
open in September 2010 and offer Kindergarten through second grade, building a grade level each year.
